OUR STORY

In our village, located in Aydın-Söke at an altitude of approximately 400 meters, we initiated the branding process in 2016 by transforming our generations-long tradition of organic olive oil production into a corporate structure. Starting as a family business, we combined the experience of the past with the science of the present, resulting in the creation of "Yağderesi".

SO HOW DO WE CONDUCT OUR PRODUCTION?

Our raw material is Memecik variety olives, grown on our centuries-old trees, known for their high antioxidant content and fruity characteristics. We harvest our product using modern methods, pack it in crates, and press it the same day using the cold-pressing method, without any chemical processing. We protect our oil in nitrogen-pressurized chrome tanks, and after approximately two months of resting, we bottle it upon order and deliver it to you.

At Yağderesi, we not only keep the centuries-old traditions of Güzeltepe alive, but we also carry them into the future with today's modern scientific standards. The Gold Medal we won at the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards (Berlin GOOA) , one of the most prestigious quality awards in the olive oil world, is an international testament to this meticulous approach.

The meticulous attention to detail we demonstrate at every stage of our production process—the cold-pressing of our olives without any chemical processing, and their preservation in their purest form in special nitrogen-pressurized chrome tanks—was described as 'impeccable' by the distinguished jury in Berlin. Our vision of 'quality from tradition to the future,' which we aimed for when we decided to formalize as a family business in 2016, has been transformed into global recognition with this golden award from Berlin. This award is the most tangible proof of the high polyphenol content we deliver in every bottle and our unwavering boutique production standards.

Today, on our 10th anniversary, even though we utilize the possibilities of technology, we draw our spirit from the heavy and dignified turning of that stone mill, and our abundance from the culture of sharing in Güzeltepe's old oil mill. Yağderesi is not just an olive oil; it is the name of our unwavering loyalty to the land, labor, and history of Güzeltepe."

The name Yağderesi is not just a brand for us; it's the ancient memory of Güzeltepe village. It's the name of the place where our villagers used to gather their olives with great excitement, working together in a cooperative effort. Those historic oil pressing boards and the patiently turning stone mill are the most vivid witnesses of those days. The unique aroma released as the olives were crushed, the first oils pressed by neighbors helping each other, flowed like a river of abundance. That river was called Yağderesi.
